PhD thesis

Phylogeny of Old World Capparoideae (Capparaceae)

The objective of the PhD thesis is to resolve the phylogenetic relationships within the Capparoideae with special focus on the systematics of the Old World genera (e.g. Cadaba, Dhofaria, Boscia, Euadenia, Maerua, Ritchiea and Thilachium). This phylogenetic study is based on molecular analyses (e.g. trnL-F and ITS ), morphological and fruit anatomical characters as well as field studies.

The PhD project was integrated in the BIOTA (Biodiversity Monitoring Transect Analysis) Yemen Project at the BGBM.
