Born in 1974; 1993-2000: Studies in biology at Rostock, Uppsala, and Jena; 2000-2001: Research Associate at the University of Rostock (vegetation ecology of gallery forests in Benin, West Africa); 2001-2007 Herbarium Assistant, PhD student and Research Associate at the Institute for Systematic Botany and Herbarium Haussknecht, Jena, Dr. rer. nat. (phylogeny and systematics of Serratula and Klasea, Compositae) in 2006; since 2007: Herbarium Curator at the BGBM Berlin-Dahlem
