  • 1991-1996 Study and Bachelor degree in the field of Ecology at the Biology Department of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, Croatia.
  • 1997-2001 Garden Assistent-Curator at the Botanical Garden on the island Lokrum, Institute for Marine and Coastal research (Dubrovnik, Croatia).
  • 2001-2005 Teaching Assistent in Botany at the Biology Department of the Faculty of Science, University of Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina.
  • 2007 Master Thesis (Algae of wet habitats in the subalpine belt of Mt. Vranica, Bosnia and Herzegovina) at the Biology Department of the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, Croatia.
  • Since 2007 PhD Student at the BGBM, Freie Universität Berlin.

Research interests and projects:

  • Diatoms in mountain wetlands (mires, fens, soils).
  • Algal flora of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Taxonomy and ecology of diatoms.
