Software developed for the Berlin Model:

Here you can find a list of applications developed for the Berlin Model. All software products are freely available under the Mozilla Public License.

The programs can be downloaded from the Downloads section. You can also find the latest code in our CVS repository, please note that programs in the CVS are not official releases which are for programmers, not for final users.

Please refer to the responsible person of each project for questions or comments.


WebEditor:

The Berlin Model Web Editor is an advance taxonomic editor for the Berlin Model which is fully potential taxon enabled. The software requires a Cold Fusion application server.

Web Publisher:

The Web Publisher is a tool for publishing Berlin Model databases in the World Wide Web. It was first developed for the IOPI GPC and now it is publicly available for all Berlin Model users. This web application is developed with Microsoft ASP.

Other software available for the Berlin Model includes:

  • Integrity Checker: This is an Access project that runs against a Berlin Model database. It checks all the integrity rules defined in the Berlin Model documentation and creates a report afterwards. Very useful after an importing task. Go to Downloads
  • Exporting tool to Word: This procedure explains how to export a Berlin Model database to a Word file trough a temporary access database and using some Word functionalities. Nice tool for exporting pieces of the database for printing.
  • Local editing tools: Mostly implemented with Microsoft Access used for specific editing tasks.
