Conclusions

Implementation of this model is not trivial and the requirements on the computing resources are significantly higher as in the simpler models described in the introduction. However, the implementation using today's standard desktop systems (486 PC) with Microsoft Access (not the fastest DBMS available) shows the feasibility of the approach. With internetworking of databases on the rise, the model's data quality features may help to implement common usage of person names in scientific databases. However, the question of privacy of personal data still remains to be evaluated in this context.
