Curriculum vitae 
  • 1994 - 1999 Diploma in Biology at Michoacana of San Nicolas of Hidalgo University, Mexico. (Diploma-Thesis: „Pleistocene Evolution of the Paleolake of Zacapu, based on the Register of the Fossils Diatoms“).
  • 2000 - 2002 Master in Management and Conservation of Natural Resources, at Michoacana of San Nicolas of Hidalgo University, Mexico. (Master-Thesis: „Environmental Fluctuations of the Patzcuaro Lake in the Quaternary and its relation with the Vulcan-Tectonic Evolution“).
  • 2004 - 2009 PhD at the BGBM. Thesis: „ Diatom Community Analysis and Quality Assessment of the Polluted Tropical Lerma River (Mexico)”.
  • Since 2010 Postdoc at the BGBM, since 2019 also Curator for the algal herbarium with focus on diatoms.
