  • Pupils, students and apprentices
  • Bundesfreiwilligendienst (BFD), Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr (FSJ) or Freiwilliges Ökologisches Jahr (FÖJ)
  • Unemployed persons (ALG I+II)
  • Persons receiving social welfare benefit
  • Visitors from Ukraine with a confirmed residence permit in their passports (with entitlement to basic income/unemployment benefit II). A Ukranian passport must be presented for this purpose.
  • Holders of Berechtigtennachweis (formerly berlinpass), Ehrenamtspass or Jugendleiter-Card JULEICA (Berlin, Brandenburg)
  • Disabled persons (50 to 69 'GdB')
  • Groups of 12 persons or more (Only available from the on-site ticket booths)

Free entrance

(verification required)

  • Children (up to 6 years)
  • Members of the Friends of the BGBM e. V.
  • Disabled from 70 'GdB' upwards, and an official imperative attendant
  • Members of ICOM
  • Attendants (e.g. teachers, parents) of classes (max. 2 persons per class. With permit.)
  • Students of Berlin Universities during university course at BGBM with their professor
  • Students of the Department of Biology, Chemistry and Pharmacy at Freie Universität Berlin
  • Trainees who visit the Botanical Garden Berlin within their training (together with the training supervisor).
  • Refugees* (and necessary attendance of refugee organisation; verification required of refugee organisation / residence permit / proof of arrival).
  • *Refugees from Ukraine who do not yet have a residence permit. Please present your Ukrainian passport or other Ukrainian travel ID at the ticket office. Those with residence permit are entitled to a enter the garden at a reduced fee of 3 euros.

The use of the Library and the Wild Mushroom Identification Service is free of charge.
